A Ghost, Asleep

Directed by Robert Scott

Shot, edited and composed by Robert Scott

Experimental short, completed 2019, duration 11 minutes 37 seconds

A Ghost, Asleep is the third film in an experimental series
of temporal harmonic films.

Shot during early dawn on a foggy morning in rural New South Wales,
A Ghost, Asleep is the slowest, most contemplative work in the temporal harmonic
series.

Of what does a ghost dream? Existing outside the constraints of time, the landscape
changes at a glacial pace, and new, unreal landscapes are created by the
temporal superimposition of one shot over another, during the extended
dissolves between framings.

Predominantly nature, even the evidence of human habitation is seen through
the film of a ghostly dream. Is this place real?

The whole film.
